How to have the perfect Halloween Party!

Hello Everyone!!

Today its Giraffe, and I'm going to be telling you ways that you can host the perfect Halloween party!

1. Drinks:
To make your drinks look super spooky, you can use food colouring to make the drinks all kinds of Halloween themed colours. You could also decorate the cups or glasses with Halloween stickers, cobwebs (cotton balls pulled apart) or even paint on drips of blood or slime!

2. Food:
To have quick and easy Halloween cupcakes and cookies...
1. Buy them ready made!
2. Decorate with icing- you could do pumpkins, skulls, gravestones etc.
3. Wait for the icing to set
4. Enjoy you scary treats!!

3. Decorations:
There are 2 options with decorations..
1. You can go to a shop and buy them
2. You can make them... you could have a friend round the day before the party and carve loads of pumpkins or make paper garlands etc. There's loads of DIYs that you can try out on YouTube and tumblr!

4. Music:
It's good to have music playing in the background! Even better is to have halloween themed music as well as your favourite songs!
Here's a few Halloween songs that you may like:
- Thriller
- Monster Mash
- This is Halloween
- Highway to Hell
- Ghost busters

5. Activities:
Activities that you could do are:
- Have a costume competition and give the person who's best dressed a special prize
- Watch a horror film
- A scavenger hunt- the things that you have to find could be mini pumpkins.

How to make your room Halloween-y!

Hello!

Hope you have had a fab week!

So today I'm going to be talking about room decor! There hasn't been a room decor post on this blog in a while so yeah... Enjoy!

1. Candles candles candles.
There are millions of candles available that would be perfect for Halloween! (E.g pumpkin) in fact, as I write this I have an apple scented candle burning at the moment.

2. Pumpkins.
In every shop there is some sort of pumpkin item! Whether it is pumpkin fairy lights or real pumpkins, these are a quick and easy way to make your room have an instant Halloween theme. (I would recommend getting plastic pumpkins though so you can use them again next year.)

3. Cushions, blankets and anything cosy.
This obviously doesn't have to be specifically for Halloween, but there are so many cute Halloween themed cushions and then a 'burnt orange' shade of a blanket is perfect to throw over your bed.

4. Makeup organisation.
It's great to mix and match up your makeup frequently and what I like to do is to have my everyday makeup on display. So you can have golden eyeshadows and berry lip colours on show which is perfect for Halloween.

5. Pictures.
Whether you like to take pictures or you just decide to print it off on the Internet, it is great to make a  collage to fit this time of the year. It's a great DIY to do on a rainy day with a cup of tea.

So I hope you enjoyed this post, please comment your thoughts and ideas for future blog posts.

Halloween treats! (Ghost edition)

Hey guys!

I hope you are all well! Today it's just mouse!

So in this blog post, I will be talking (a.k.a rambling) about easy treats to make for Halloween.

You can use these for parties, maybe a sleepover with friends or just for yourself! Whatever tickles your fancy!

Let's get on with these cool ideas!

1. Cover any fruit that you want with white chocolate. Personally, I like the idea of covering strawberries with it or apples. Wait for it to dry and then, with black icing or sprinkles, add the eyes and mouth. And voila, an easy treat that is so simple yet effective!

2. Melt some white marshmallows. While they are still melted place them into a piping bag and make wiggly shapes on some greaseproof paper. Wait for them to dry and, again, add some sprinkles or black icing to form the mouth and eyes.

3. This last one is a bit more time consuming but it looks great! Bake some chocolate cupcakes, and then add a nice thick layer of white icing. Add on some eyes and a mouth with chocolate buttons (or any chocolate that you want). This makes really delicious cupcakes.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post. We would really appreciate it if you commented your thoughts down below. Also be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @cailascreations

Halloween!!

Hello everyone!!

Today it's just giraffe and guess what?!?!!!?? It's October!! And that means one thing... It nearly Halloween 😝 with Halloween just round the corner I thought that I would give you a few ideas on Halloween costumes! Enjoy!

1. Wound or scar: this is a really simple idea that you can spook out your friends with. Take some face paint (professional or from a Halloween store) and create a scars and wounds of all kinds on your face (there are LOADS of videos in YouTube to show you how) and then you can wear what ever clothes you like.. This is good if you live in a rainy, cold place like the UK !!!!!

2. "Ready-made" costumes: you could go to a grocery store or a Halloween shop and just buy a costume and (optionally) a wig, then you just have to whip it on and you are ready to go!

3. Sugar skull: using face paint, or any make up of your choice, create a sugar skull design on your face (there are, again, a lot of tutorials on YouTube to follow) and then wear a black top, a tutu and a cape (optional) and you have the perfect outfit to go with your sugarskull make up!

4. Your favourite celebrity: search for a picture of your favourite celebrity and try to re-create what clothes they generally wear. Then, recreate their make up and hairstyle (using a wig might help if you have different hair colours to them) and you are done!

5. Vampire: this one is really easy!! Paint your face so that it is really pale but not quite white. Wear dark clothes and put some fake blood on the corners of your lips.

6. Devil: paint your whole face red and wear red clothes. Wear some devil horns, these can be found in most shops or Halloween stores. If you want a more 'glam' devil, do a smokey eye using black and red, wear a matte red lipstick, devil horns and a red dress.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost, we may post some more costume ideas so don't worry if none of the ones above 'float your boat'!!! Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter @cailascreations

Autumn!

Hello Everyone!

Today it's Giraffe (if you don't understand who 'Giraffe' is, then please look back at our first post) and today I'm going to tell you all of the things that I look forward to when Autumn comes along :)

1. Watching TV - Yep!! It probably sounds weird since you can watch TV any time of the year, but I find it more fun in Autumn because all of the decent Saturday night shows start (like Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor etc etc) and you can sit on the sofa with your friends and cuddle up in blankets!!

2. Make Up - I love eyeshadows like burnt oranges, golds and browns because I think they go well with all colours of eyes. They also fit in with the transitions of colours of the leaves :) Another part of autumnal make up that I like is the cranberry lipstick!!

3. Fashion - I love ankle boots and I personally think that autumn is the perfect time to wear them. I also like sweaters and big jumpers.

4. Cups of Tea - I think it's just nicer to have tea in autumn because its not the same having it in summer because you're all hot and bothered and then once you've had your tea you get even hotter!!!!

Sorry this post was kind of short, next time we will try to do a more detailed one and hopefully we will be together to write it :) Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter  (both  @cailascreations )

We'll see you next time..   Byee!!

Summer into Autumn

Hello,

So today I (mouse) am going to be doing quite a random blog post on summer in general! By the way, sorry if you live in the Southern Hemisphere because I know that it is the end of winter there so come back in six months! Haha! But in the northern hemisphere, it is now unfortunately the end of summer/beginning of autumn.

Personally, I love Autumn but that is when back to school happens and you have less time to chill out and more time to work! What's your favourite season?

I love this quote about summer which is like 'Summer. Hair gets lighter. Skin gets darker. Water gets warmer. Drinks get colder. Music gets louder. Nights get longer. Life gets better.' It's such a nice quote and it's so true as well!

But then there is also this lovely quote about Autumn 'Hoodies, hot cocoa, boots, jeans, cuddling, crisp air, flushed cheeks. I live for Autumn.' The thing is, all seasons are lovely for different reasons. It's just personal opinion on which season is your favourite or whether you love all seasons.

I don't have a favourite season, all of them are my favourite!

Sorry about the rambling, different type of blog post and sorry it was a bit shorter. I just wanted to share some thoughts!

Don't forget to follow us on Instagram and Twitter (@cailascreations)

Thank you so much for checking out our blog, it means so much to us! We hope you have a lovely week.

Film Ratings

Hey guys!

So today, I (mouse) am going to be talking about films! Yes, this is a completely different post to normal but i thought that it would be a fun post. Also seeing as it is nearly Autumn, I will be wanting to watch a film in the evenings when it is cold outside! (Disclaimer : I wanted to write about films that everyone would be able to watch so these films will only be PG or 12 rated). Don't worry there won't be any spoilers!

1. 10 Things I Hate About You
This is a chick flick from the 90's, it is just one of those generic rom-coms where you fall in love with the characters! It portrays two sisters with completely different personalities unable to date until the eldest sister dates someone (but the older sister is undateable!)  There is some interesting fashion choices in there though! I would rate it 9/10.

2. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
This is a great comedy where a Greek lady and a high school teacher (who isn't Greek) fall in love. The Greek lady's family are eccentric and hilarious! I would rate it 8/10.

3. Warm Bodies
Human teenagers roam the outside world during a zombie apocalypse, and unfortunately cross paths with a group of hungry zombies. In this group of hungry zombies is a unique zombie called R who crosses paths with Julie (human). I rate this 9.5/10.

I hope you enjoyed this slightly different blog post! Sorry that it was slightly shorter and based mostly on romantic movies, if you want a different genre of movies for us to review leave us a comment down below and we will be sure to make a blog post on one of your requests! Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram (@cailascreations).

Back To School: First Day Expectations Vs.Reality!

Hello everyone!

First of all sorry that this post is being published on a Tuesday, it is just Giraffe today and I'm very forgetful so yeah! Anyhow, today I thought it would be fun to write about some Expectations Vs. Reality when it comes to the first day back to school. I've seen LOADS of these on YouTube so I thought it would be cool to do it in a blog post.. so let's get started!!!

1. Make Up
Expectation:
Me: "I have an idea, next week when it's the first day back I'm going to put all of my make up out on my desk so I don't have to worry about where it all is!"
Reality:
Me: "OMG! Where's the mascara?? Why has my moisturiser leaked all over my drawer?? Why is my foundation suddenly WAY too dark?!?!"

2. Skin Care
Expectation:
Me: (Morning of first day, looks in mirror) "I'm so happy my skin care routine has made my skin soft and acne free for school :D"
Reality:
Me: (Morning of first day, looks in mirror) "gasp! I actually think I'm about to collapse and die!! WHY is there a massive red spot right in the centre of my forehead?!?! I did a skin care routine and everything, why did I have to run out of concealer yesterday :'("

3. Form Time
Expectation:
Teacher: "Ok everyone, I would like you all to come up individually and say your name and 3 hbbies so that we an get to know each other."
Me: Walks to front swiftly "Hello my name is 'Giraffe', my hobbies are: hanging out with friends, watching YouTube videos and playing with my pets."
Reality:
Teacher: "Ok everyone, I would like you all to come up individually and say your name and 3 hbbies so that we an get to know each other."
Me: Gets stuck behind chair, stubs toe, trips up on a 'popular' girls' designer handbag and lands directly into the teacher's desk catapulting her coffee onto a group of girls, finally runs back to own chair and hides.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. It wass a bit different to usual but it was very fun to write. Please comment below and follow us on twitter and instagram- both @cailascreations  .

Back to school essentials

Hey guys!

So today we are going to be talking to you about back to school essentials! Yes, no one wants to hear those dreaded words but you will have to go back to school sooner or later (unless you have already gone back then we feel your pain!)

1. The obvious... A bag! We recommend a backpack because it causes an equal amount of strain on both of your shoulders! (Oh so technical) make sure your bag is big enough to fit wverything in but not too big that isn't is too heavy!

2. A pencil case! Fill it with pens, pencils, crayons, erasers and all those lovely pieces of stationary! We LOVE stationary! Also include a lipbalm, mirror and some tissues because we guarantee that you will use them A LOT.

3. Notebooks, binders, folders etc. The cuter the notebook then the better because they encourage you to take notes and then BAM! A great set of revision notes!

4. A bag of necessities. This could include a small amount of makeup, plasters, paracetamol (if your school allows it), womanly essentials (if you are a woman obvs) and any other things you think that will be useful can go in this handy kit!

5. If you live somewhere that is rainy then a cute fold up umbrella is essential!

Some cool shops and websites to buy these items from are...

How to be a morning person

Heyyy!

So today we are talking about how to be a morning person because if we wake up halfway throughout the day in summer we always feel like we have wasted most of the day and most of you probably do as well!

So here are some of our top tips on how to be a morning person!

1. Alarm clocks - there are several different options for this section!
- Have a gradual alarm that wakes you up slowly and makes you feel less sleepy.
- Get the app 'Sleepcycle' or any other similar apps that wake you up at the right time and tell you different information about your sleep.
- Put your alarm on the other side of the room causing you to get up out of bed, making you wake up.
- Have one alarm, if you have multiple alarms then you get into the habit of snoozing the alarm.

2. When you wake up either splash your face with room temperature water or have a shower or hot bath to wake you up. Use some of your favourite smelling lush products!!

3. Have breakfast!! Loads of people don't have breakfast and this is very bad! *tut tut* If you don't have  enough time in the morning to make it you could make a fruit smoothie the night before. Make sure it's balanced and it has lots of nutritious foods in it. Also remember to refrigerate it!

4. If you're going to work or school in the morning you can plan your make up and outfit the night before.

5. Set your clock about 5 to 10 minutes fast so that you know that you won't be late!

Thank you for reading this post 😆 make sure to check out our social media, Twitter and Instagram are both @cailascreations  we will see you next time we post 💕

Summer essentials (Summer extravaganza)

Hey guys!

So today, I (mouse) will be telling you about summer essentials!

Hope you enjoy!

1. Sun cream... I know I know, this is the most obvious one! But it is so important to keep your skin healthy! So many people forget to put it on and over the whole summer they keep forgetting and they burn so badly! Sometimes it is a bit of a pain to put on but if you use spray on sun cream it is so quick and easy!

2. Kimono - a pretty kimono is great for summer because it makes any outfit look gorgeous but also it feels like you are wearing nothing, but keeping the sun off of your shoulders and arms!

3. BB cream or tinted moisturiser - instead of caking on layers of foundation which is just going to make your skin oily, a nice light BB cream or tinted moisturiser will feel light on the skin but will also give you a touch of coverage!

4. A cute bottle or cup - this will keep you motivated to drink plenty of water because it is such a cute bottle or cup and will also keep you lovely and hydrated!

5. A bold lip colour or eyeliner - you only need one of these because if you have both and you wear them at the same time you might look slightly crazy! But having a pop of colour will transform the way you look into a summery goddess!

Hope you enjoyed our blog post! Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram! If you want, we are doing sfs, so if you want a shoutout on Instagram, just comment below your username! Our username is @cailascreations

Ending school for summer!

Hey everyone!

Today it's just giraffe here and the first thing I would like to say is we are very sorry that this post is quite late!! But anyways, is is another part of our summer extravaganza series. This post will be on things to do in preparation for when we leave for the summer! Even if you have already finished school, you could still try a few of these tips!

1. Teachers- sometimes we love our teachers and sometimes we HATE them, but it's always good to say thanks very so often. Our teachers put in a lot of effort to plan and do our lessons so why not say thank you on your last lesson with them or even make your favourite teacher a card to say thanks :)

2. Photos- if you are in a year/grade that is the last one for the school (eg- if your school is from year 9-13 and you are in year13) it might be a good idea to take lots of pictures of yourself and your friends around your school site, we all know that our parents say that school is the best time of your life so that means we need to make sure to make memories and photos are a great way to do so!

3. Celebrate- celebrating isn't an option, it is compulsory!!!! You can celebrate by having a 'gathering' it's your friends, having a house party, a pool party, going out for a meal- there are so many options and it's a great way to end your term before summer.

4. 'Summer body'- you have probably seen on Instagram or YouTube  or Pinterest saying things like 10 easy steps to getting the perfect summer body..... Ignore it!! Just because it's summer it doesn't mean that you have to go on a crazy diet to make yourself look good. Also, always wear sun cream. You are probably thinking "but how am I going to tan?" It is still possible to tan even if you have factor 50 sun cream on! And if you don't tan well and want to fake it instead DONT use sun beds as they can increase the risk of skin cancer, always choose self tan or spray tan over sun beds! (Im pretty sure we have mentioned this before but it is very important to be reminded!!)

I hope you enjoyed these tips and advice! We hope you have an amazing summer. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter, our username for both is @cailascreations ☺️

5 Things To Do With Your Friends This Summer! (Summer Extravaganza Series)

Hey guys!

So, as the second part of the 'Summer Extravaganza Series', we wanted to talk about 5 different things that you can do with your friends this summer!

1. Go camping! Whether it is just camping in your garden or in a completely different part of the country! It's really fun to camp outside in the dark and there are loads of different things you can do e.g tell ghost stories.

2. Play Twister with an interesting twist! You put coloured paint or shaving cream mixed with food dye on each of the spots and then start playing! Make sure to play outside because it will get messy!
3. Have a water fight, simple but essential! Get out the water balloons, water guns and anything you can get your hands on!
4. Go out on a bike ride! Take a picnic, a camera and a bike! It's lovely to feel the wind in your hair and get away from social media.
5. Have a photoshoot in the evening when the sun is setting. It makes a perfect background for a photoshoot!
I hope you enjoyed this weeks post! If you have any other ideas be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter (@cailascreations)

10 Things To Do This Summer! (Summer Extravaganza!)

Hey guys!
'
So this is going to be a cool announcement! We are going to be doing a 'Summer Extravaganza!' We are not sure how often we will upload during this series maybe twice a week maybe once! (We will announce how many times we are planning to upload on Twitter @cailascreations ooh a little self promotion...)

To kick start this series we thought we would give you a list of 10 things you can do this summer!

1. Exercise- this could include trekking (but we will write a more in depth post about ways to stay active this summer!!)

2. Make smoothies with berries that you can pick yourself- make sure these are safe and washed!!! You can find different kind of recipes on tumblr, pinterest or just on Google! If you want us to do a post about different nutritious food then comment down below!

3. Go on an adventure- whether its in your own town or on the other side of the country... EXPLORE! (obviously, get parental permission and don't travel to the other side of the country on your own ;) )

4. Personalize your room! We put up some blog posts on personalizing your room! http://cailascreations.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/personalizing-and-organising-your-room.html this is a blog post we made last year and it shows ideas for how to personalize your room for summer! We also made one for Winter, Autumn and Spring! The summer holidays are the perfect time to make your room reflect your personality.

5. Have a break from social media. Turn off the phone, laptop and ipad! Whether this is for the day or the whole of summer. Go outside and have fun (take your phone BUT JUST FOR EMERGENCIES).

6. Learn a new skill - it could be how to speak a foreign language, play a new instrument or just how to do a cartwheel! There are so many possibilities and can really help when you are bored.

7. Earn a bit of pocket money! You could go do a car boot sale, sell stuff on Ebay, go to clothes banks or even mow someones lawn!

8. Make something! It could be anything! Get outside and get creative! Whether its just a doodle or a sculpture!

9. It's OK to have a few lazy days! We all need a break from school or work so the holidays are the perfect opportunity! You could have a lazy day with your best friends or just with the sun and a good book (and sun cream!)

10. Stay outside with sun cream! Help your parents mow the lawn or do some revision in the garden! It will improve your mood and is was better than wasting the summer inside on your phone! Make a promise to yourself that every day of summer you will go outside only if it is just poking your head out of the window!

We really hope you enjoyed our first blog post of summer and if you have any more ideas of what to do this summer comment down below or tweet us and follow us on Instagram - @cailascreations

See you soon!

Would You Rather Tag

Hey guys! <3

So today it is only mouse and I will be doing the Would You Rather Tag! I know that there have already been quite a few tags on our blog, but the questions in this tag are awesome!

So lets get on with the post!

1) Would you rather walk around all day with you skirt tucked in your underwear or be seen wearing a really see through dress?
~Erm... This is a tough question... Probably the see through dress because my hair might hide it a bit and so would a jacket!

2) Would you rather go to a party and not realize until the end of the night that you have lipstick on your teeth or that your fake lashes are coming unglued?
~I think I would go for the lipstick on the teeth because I could be wearing a nude lipstick and it wouldn't be too noticeable I guess!

3)Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face?
~Blush! This was an easy question for me! I just hate the idea of only one eye without mascara!

4) Would you rather wear lipstick/lipliner combo or frosty blue eyeshadow?
~Ohh, this is a hard question! I think it would have to be the lipstick/lipliner combo just because I am not extremely keen on the blue eyeshadow! :D

5) Would you rather wear foundation that is two shades too light or go way overboard on bronzer?
~Foundation!! I do not want to look like I just fell over and face planted into a load of mud!

6) Would you rather drink an entire bottle of ketchup or run into the guy who broke your heart on a bad hair day when your skin is freaking out?
~I think I would go for the guy who broke my heart one because AN ENTIRE BOTTLE  OF KETCHUP IS JUST DISGUSTING!!!

7) Would you rather be able to date any celeb you wanted or wake up with perfect red carpet-worthy hair?
~I would date any celeb I wanted because then I could have my own hairstylist and voila! Perfect red carpet worthy hair!

8) Would you rather your armpits smell musky or like delicious lasagna?
~Delicious lasagna because... It's delicious!

9)Would you rather give up your makeup or mobile phone for one year?
~My mobile phone because I could use a computer!

10) Would you rather run into a cute guy you like with food in your teeth or no makeup at all?
~No makeup... I don't really have an explanation, I just thought it was better.

Spring Hairstyle Ideas! x

Hey Everyone!

Today it's just giraffe and I'm going to share with you a few ideas of how to do your hair in Spring!

1. Of course whenever we talk about Spring we can't ever forget flower crowns!!! Flower crowns re really popular to wear ad are really affordable from shops like Primark and New Look. If you prefer you can opt for the headband version or even make your own with faux flowers, wire (or an old headband) and a hot glue gun*)  *If you do make your own be sure that you are confident using a hot glue gun because, obviously, they get really hot!!

2. I personally think that big messy braids/plaits are always fun to wear- they're stylish and keep your hair out of your face! To do this, tie your hair in a low ponytail on one side of your face. Next you can do whatever type of braid you like (normal, fishtail etc). Then, slide the elastic or hair tie down to the bottom to make the top loose and to hold together your braid at the bottom. Finally, you can "pancake" your braid. This is basically just pulling the sides a little at a time to create a big messy hairstyle!

3. This one is more of a hair colour idea!! If you feel like having lighter hair in spring but you're too scared to dye all of your hair a light brown or blonde, then try the Sun kiss Jelly by Loreal! If gradually lightens your hair in the sunlight and you can either apply it to all of your hair or just precise parts (eg: as highlights or a 'natural' ombre effect).

I hope you enjoyed these 3 ideas of things that you could do with you hair in Spring. Of course you can alter them to your personal preference. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter @cailascreations  ! If you have anything you want us to see use the hashtag #cailascreations , also if you want to leave a comment saying ways that you like to do your hair in Spring so that we can try them out!!

Exam tips! x

Hey Everyone!

Today it's giraffe and I'm going to tell you a few tips on how to survive through the exam period!!

1. Eat brain food! This can include fish, wholegrain and blueberries.

2. When revising write notes in really bright colours for example use sharpies! You can also make posters to stick on your bedroom walls.

3. Organise what exams/tests you need to revise for first. For example if you had a test tomorrow, revise for that one first, if you have one in a week, revise for that one last.

4. Ask your teachers for help. Sometimes people don't like to ask the teacher if they don't understand something but you can't take any chances when it comes to exams.

5. Sleep! If you are one of those people that goes to bed at 1:00 and wakes up at 6:00, your brain needs to rest in order for you to be ready and awake the the day ahead. If you need to, pack your bag, choose an outfit and plan your breakfast the night before so that you can have an extra half an hour in bed!

Sorry this post was kind of short but I hope it helped you! Make sure to follow us on twitter and instagram, both @cailascreations and tag tweets and photos with #cailascreations so that we see it!

April Favourites

Hey guys!

So today it is only mouse here! And today I am going to be telling you about what I have been loving throughout the course of April!

Let's get onto the post...

1. The first thing is a random favourite and that is the song Dear Future Husband by Meghan Trainor. You may have seen in our 'Top 5...' post that we mentioned this song, but it is literally so amazing!! It is a really upbeat and happy song that will make you feel like dancing (hopefully!). I am actually listening to it at the moment as I type this!!

2. The PointlessBook (the first one, I haven't gotten the second one yet) but i just find it so therapeutic to do and just a great activity for rainy days or any time really! I have done loads of mine so I might buy the second one soon!
3. Bright and colourful eyeshadows! There is no specific product for this favourite but since it is spring, I am constantly wearing brighter colours (I am wearing blue eyeliner at the moment!) but some palettes with bright colours are...
The Urban Decay Electric palette
But we understand that this is quite a pricey product so as a cheaper alternative there is the MUA Poptastic palette but still fantastic!
Sorry that this was a shorter post than usual! What have you been loving recently? Tweet us or follow us on Instagram - we (un)follow back. Also we give shoutout for shoutouts!

Spring and Summer Life Hacks

Hey everyone!

So today we are doing a blog post on Spring and Summer life hacks! If you want we could also do a blog post about Autumn and Winter life hacks in the future? If you want one of them then please comment down below!

On with the blog post!

1. Suntan tattoos! (These are temporary.)
Don't worry! You don't have to get a real tattoo!! What you need to do is cut out a template of whatever tattoo you would like from maybe card or something and then lay it on wherever you want your template to be then go out in the sun and get your sun tattoo! These are so cute and cool for summer! (You could also use cool bands which are these rubber band bracelets in assorted shapes!)

2. Make your perfume last longer.
So that you don't "sweat off" your perfume, apply some Vaseline to where you put your perfume on and then put then perfume on top and it should last all day! :)

3. Get rid of sand easily.
When you go to beach be sure to take baby powder because if you apply it after a long beach day! The baby powder removes moisture from the skin basically allowing the sand to clump up and fall right off!
Also can we just take a minute to look at the beauty of this picture?

4. How to stop an ice lolly (Popsicle) to stop from melting onto your hands.
It is so annoying when our hands get all sticky from the melted ice lolly. So this simple life hack is that all you have to do is put a cupcake case over the ice lolly stick and it will catch all the drips.
5. An easy way to store random stuff!
So we all have that problem where you are out and you have no where to put your hair bobbles/coins/grips etc. Take an empty tic tac box and put in any random little bits and bobs in them which are just loose in the bottom of your handbag and ta daah! You never have the problem of scooping down at the bottom of your bag for a hair bobble to tie your hair up with!

Thankyou so much for reading this blog post! Do you have any more Spring/Summer Life Hacks for us? We would love to hear them because we are always looking for ways to make life easier! If you do tweet us or follow us on Instagram!

Product review!

Hi everyone!!
Today it's just giraffe because we couldn't meet up to write this. Anyway today I am going to tell you about 3 hair products!

The first one is the Batiste Floral and Flirty Blush Dry Shampoo! I've had this for a few weeks now and I think it's great! It's not good to wash your hair everyday so if your hair is looking a bit greasy or oily and you don't want to wash it just spray some dry shampoo in and rub it in (so your hair doesn't stay white!!) and you are good to go! BTW: it smells amazing as well!!

The second product is the TRESemmė UV Filter Heat Defence. I never used to use heat protectant but I actually think it makes a lot of difference because my hair feels a lot softer and doesn't feel as 'frazzled' if that makes any sense! This heat protectant can protect your hair up to 230 degrees C.

The final product has literally become my best friend!! It is the got2b oil-licious by Schwarzkopf ( did you know that Schwarzkopf actually means black head in German?!?! Haha 😏) anyway this is an Arian oil that your hair instantly absorbs and it makes your hair super shiny, sleek and tame from any fly aways. I have used Argan oil before but it was a lot more expensive than this and it did exactly the same job! This one only cost about £3. To use this I just comb my hair after I have a shower and then put the oil in and then put the heat protectant (if I use a hairdryer that day). I would suggest using 3-5 pumps on wet hair and 1 pump on dry hair. This is because it can make dry hair look greasy - since it is an oil. If you do put it on dry hair I would highly suggest not putting on the roots because your hair will definitely look greasy!!

You can purchase all of these products from boots, Superdrug and most supermarkets.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and if you try any of these products out make sure to tell us what you think/thought of them!
You can tweet us or tag us in pictures.....

Easter DIYs!!

Hey Guys!

So today we are going to show you 3 DIYs for Easter!! We are really excited because this is our first proper DIY post, so let's get started!

1. Rice Krispy/ Cornflakes Chocolate Nests: This is a very popular thing to make at Easter time.
First melt some chocolate. Next mix in the cereal. Then put the mixture into cupcake or muffin cases and allow to set (when putting the mixture into the cases make a little dent or hollow part in the center like a real nest). Finally once they have set, fill the hollow part with mini eggs or candy of your choice!!

2. Bunny in a jar : (Don't worry you won't literally put a real life bunny in a jar!) What you need to do is fill a jar with cotton wool ball or marshmallows or anything white and round! Then place the lid back on the jar and make paper rabbit ears out of pink and white coloured paper/card, next stick the ears to the lid with glue or sellotape. Finally draw and cut out a rabbits face then stick it to the front of the jar to complete the rabbit! For any extra touches add a cotton wool ball to the base of the back for a little tail or maybe add some feet made from card.

3. Decorating Eggs!
Firstly, you will have to hard boil some eggs (as many as you like). Once they have cooled, be as creative as you wish! You can dye the eggs or paint them (we recommend acrylic paint)! If you want you can get some inspiration from google images.

We hope you enjoyed this post! Make sure that if you recreate any of these to send us a picture on Instagram, Twitter (use the hashtag #cailascreations) or even in the comments! If you send us them we will make sure to give you a shoutout!!

Urban Decay - The Naked Palettes

Hey Everyone!

So first off, sorry this post is a day late!
Also, it is just Mouse here!
So today, I wanted to talk to you about the three Naked Palettes by Urban Decay! I am only going to tell you about the Naked 1,2, 3 palette, not the other Naked items that Urban Decay do like the Naked on the Run palette.
So let's get started!

First off, the Naked Palettes are no where near cheap! At a pricey £38 or $54 per palette at the moment you would probably have to save up for them! There are some great dupes in drugstores though!

The Naked palettes are very pigmented and beat many other high end eye shadows with the outstanding quality.

So the first Naked palette, if you haven't seen it before, looks like this...
The colours are bronze-hued according to the Urban Decay website. It's packaging is magnetic and has  a velvety texture to the outside of it.

The Naked 2 Palette looks like this...
It has a lovely range of shades for any occasion. These colours are taupe-hued. It comes in a tin like packaging.

The last of the Naked palettes is the Naked 3, which looks like this...
These are beautiful rose-hued neutrals which add a bit of colour to the boring brown eyeshadow look! The packaging is very similar to the Naked 2's packaging put is slightly more textured.

Overall, the palettes are worth the money because of their outstanding quality! Just try and save up for them!

Which is your favourite eyeshadow palette?
Also, any other products you would like us to talk about?
If so be sure to check out our Instagram and Twitter!
We will be giving out shoutouts for anyone who answers either of those questions!

Starting off with make up: recommendations

Hey everyone!
It's just giraffe here today because again we couldn't meet up in the weekend. But anyway, today I'm going to give you a few recommendations of make up to get you started with make up!

1. If your only just starting with make up I wouldn't go right ahead with foundation, I would just start with wearing concealer (you can skip this if you don't get spots, blemishes or red blotchy skin). But the concealer that I recommend is the Collection Lasting Perfection! This is really affordable and gives very good coverage.

2. I think mascara just finishes off your eyes without the need to wear eyeshadow. The mascara I would recommend is the Maybeline the Falsies. If you can afford it, I would recommend MAC Zoom Lash- this honestly does NOT budge!!

3. Blush wise I would suggest Collection shimmer shades. I think we have mentioned this before in a post but it just gives an amazing subtle rosey effect on the cheeks!! (You can tell I'm a fan of it haha)

4. Finally, the lips! If you want to you can just apply lip balm if your like me and you prefer doing your eyes. But if you want a natural look I would go for the Tanya Burr lipgloss in Chic! Honestly, this is like the perfect nude shade and it looks good on anyone! If you want a neutral lipstick, I would go for one from MUA! MUA Lipsticks are really affordable and are a good pigmentation level.

I think these 4 things are all you need If you are starting off with makeup and I've worn makeup for a while now and sometimes I only wear the above!! If you want something extra, I would wear a frosty or natural eyeshadow on the lid and blended at the crease.
Also, if you want to powder your face because it looks a bit shiny, I would use the rimmel stay matte powder!
I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to tweet us and follow us on........

Spring Fashion

Hey guys!

So it's mouse today, unfortunately giraffe and I couldn't meet up! *cry cry* so I thought I would do a nice quick and easy, step by step post about Spring Fashion!

So first off you need to swap your heavy winter jacket for a nice thinner one!
So depending on where you live (you might not even need one) you need to pick one suitable to the temperature! Sorry if you live in the Southern hemisphere and it isn't Spring!

Pastel colours are always in during spring and all the dark colours from winter are out!
If you don't feel comfortable with brights and pastels but still want to make your outfit more 'springy' add a small amount of colour? Maybe just a bit of detailing on your t-shirt or go for a lighter makeup look!

Add some nice accessories! Floral = spring! So maybe a nice flower crown, and necklace that incorporates flowers!
Go mad with the floral theme! It doesn't just have to be accessories, it could be embroidered on your cardigan/trousers etc.

There are so many good shops to buy springy things from but we really like...
Primark
Topshop
New Look
Forever 21
Target

Ok, So sorry for the short post today! Hope you liked it anyways!

A-Z Beauty Tips!

Hey guys!

First off, we are TWO pageviews off 700!!! How incredible is that? We have been working on this blog for less than a YEAR! So thankyou!!

So onto the post! Today we wanted to do a really cool and unique blog post so here it is...
A-Z Beauty Tips!

Enjoy!

A- Angled brushes are good for doing eye brows or making smokey eyeliner with eye shadow.

B- Bold colour pop: if you aren't comfortable with colour but want to step out of your comfort zone try a colourful shadow just on you lash line.

C- Caila's Creations is a great place to get make up tips!!!Haha x

D- Dark colours: Try a very small amount of dark eyeshadow lining your lids and smoke out with an angled brush (look at A) for a soft, smokey look!

E- Eyeliner 101: when doing a thick line, to make it look glossy, do the outline with a marker (one for eyes!!) and fill it in with a liquid liner :)

F- Favourite Budget Beauty Brands: MUA, Simple, Collection, Elf and Barry M.

G- Gel: Eyebrow gels are great if you're in a hurry because you simply have to swipe it along the brow and your done! Also if your starting off with eyeliner, gel eyeliner with an angled brush is really easy to apply.

H- Hair: Thought we would throw in hair in here as well! Try not to put your hair up at night because when your hair is in a bobble it is extremely bad for your hair and easily breaks it. If you put it up at night and sleep with it up for around 8 hours every night it can damage it very easily so stay away from the bobbles!

I- Individual lashes for a more natural look than a full strip of false lashes!

J- Jet black eyeshadow looks incredible when applied lightly into the crease and blended out well!

K- Kabuki Brushes are great for powder and blending!

L- Lips: If you have a really nice lipstick that you wish was matte, just dust some translucent powder on top for a matte finish!

M- Manicure: If you don't have nail art tools, a toothpick is a good replacement for a dotting tool, and if you put two pieces of tape next to each other on the nail and fill it in with nail polish you can get a stripe that replaces a striper brush.

N- Night time: In the evening a few things you should make sure to do are: take off make up, cleanse your face, tone (if you have enough time) and moisturise.

O- Open pores: if you have very open pores there are some products that can help! Why not try the POREfessional by Benefit?

P- Plumper lips; to get plumper lips, exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush. Then suck on a small lid (for example) for about 30 seconds. Apply a lip liner just outside the natural lip line. Apply a lipstick, highlight the very middle of your lips with a frosty eyeshadow. Finally add a  super shiny and glossy lipgloss!

Q- Quick makeup application: Instead of blending foundation for HOURS (jk) replace it with a touch more of concealer. Do this with most of your makeup steps, try and replace them with a slightly quicker alternative and think, do you really need all that makeup on today? Is it necessary? Sometimes this tip is really useful when in a rush!

R- Rhinestones are pretty and perfect for a quick but stylish and professional accent on the nails.

S- Smile when applying blush so that you can see the apples of your cheeks easily.

T- Tear duct/ Inner corner: Add a light shimmery shadow for a pretty highlight.

U- Under eye circles: Apply concealer in a triangle/V Shape on the bags and then pat lightly to blend in for better coverage.

V- Viva glam Nicki range by Mac is beautiful if a bit pricey!

W- White eyeliner: Apply to the tight line and waterline for the effect of wider eyes.

X- Xtreme (Yes that's not how to spell extreme but X is tough!) volume from different hair care products including Dry Shampoo. We recommend Batiste!

Y- YouTube is a great place for beauty.

Z- Zzzz... Catch them whilst you can!

OK so some of these were a bit dodgy so if you can think of better ones, tweet us or follow us on Instagram! We have recently gotten 200 followers on Twitter and are now aiming for three hundred. We follow back on Twitter and Instagram!

Spring Room Decor! Part 2 :)

Hey Everyone!

So it's just giraffe today because we couldn't meet up in the weekend. But anyway, it is soon going to be Spring!! As you probably know we have already done a series like this before, so this is going to be like a part 2 to that and if you want you can have a look at the other post for some more inspiration :)

1. Pastel colours are always 'in' around spring time. You could do this with pillows, curtains, bed sheets or even paint your walls!

2. Although it is a couple of months away, easter is going to be here soon. As a decoration to go with easter and the pastel theme, why not purchase some polystyrene or plastic eggs and paint them with lots of patterns. You can then put them in a basket (for example) and have them on display.

3. I don't know about you but I LOVE flowers. A cool way to add these to your bedroom is by taking some faux flowers and cutting off the 'stem'. Then hot glue them onto some chord or string and have them around your bed frame or desk! This is another take on the fairy lights idea.

4. Of course at spring time, all of the baby animals are born!! If you love animals like us, why not have a few baby animal posters! You could also have a string of pictures of animals if posters are your thing.

Sorry this was a bit of a short post but it was just to give you some more inspiration! :) Hopefully next week we will be able to meet up to write the post.

Beauty Tips and Advice

Hey guys!

So we are going to be doing a slightly different (ish) blog post! Today we are doing Beauty Tips and Advice! And guess what we are doing this post together!!! Whoop whoop!

The first tips are about Eye Make Up!!
1.On hooded eyes, matte shades are good to make the eyelid appear less hooded.
2.Applying a white eyeliner on the waterline will make your eye look larger and brighter.
3.When applying mascara push the wand up at the roots of your eyelashes. Also wiggle the wand and pull it up for long lashes.
4.Here's a diagram to help you with the proportions for your eyebrows:
The next tips are about Nail Polish:
1.When doing straight lines in your nail art try using tape but remove the tape as soon as you have finished applying the nail polish.
2. Most people don't have fancy nail tools (unless you are a nail artist) so if you want a nice dotting tool, a toothpick is perfect or a cocktail stick!
3. If you tend to get nail polish on your fingers put PVA glue around the nail and cuticle area to prevent the nail varnish getting on your skin. Then peel it off after the manicure has dried. Vaseline and latex also works.
4. You can make 3D nail decorations out of fimo clay.

These tips are about your lips:
1. To make your lipstick matte put translucent or talcum powder over the lipstick. Apply generously.
2. On the outer corner apply a darker lipstick to shade and tone your lips, giving the effect of fuller lips.
3. Exfoliate your lips with a clean toothbrush for smooth lips.
4. To contour and highlight your lips, use a bronzer underneath your bottom lip and a highlighter on your cupids bow.

Valentines Day Ideas! Simple and Easy!

Hey guys!

So today, it's mouse again! And seeing as Valentines Day is coming up I thought I would give you some nice ideas of what things you could do, make on Valentines Day whether you have a Valentine or not!

First off a few things to make!

You can make some really sweet treats which are nice and easy to create!

For a very easy treat to make in 5 minutes, how about decorating some marshmallows?
These marshmallows look really pretty and are simple to make, all you need are some large marshmallows, little sticks to put them on, sprinkles and icing! It's pretty self-explanatory, just decorate the marshmallows however you like! It would be quite fun to do this with your friends or your Valentine!

For a nice little gift for Valentines Day you can make anything from letters to cuddly toys but these really cute letters are simple and easy to make.
And they don't just have to be for Valentines Day they can be for your friends/family etc.

Finally a little activity to do on Valentines Day!

If you are stuck for what to do on Valentines Day evening, go and do some baking (you could make the marshmallows) with or without your Valentine and then go and watch a movie with all of your nice treats! Don't forget the hot chocolate!
For any more ideas be sure to check out Pinterest, Instagram and Google Images ha ha!

January Favourites

Hey guys!

So it's mouse today, no giraffe unfortunately! We just haven't had the time to get together and prepare a post recently! Sorry!

Recently we have been uploading a post EVERY Sunday! And we are both proud of ourselves haha! When we first started we would keep missing out weeks but we like to make sure there is enough content on our blog for you to enjoy!

So today I am going to be talking about our January favourites! Blimey, it feels so weird to think we are quite far into 2015 already!

Anyways so enough of me rambling, let's get on with the show!

So let's start off with...

Makeup!

First off, we have both been enjoying the Naked 3 pallette by Urban Decay! We both have it now and are in LOVE with it! It's just got such a big variety of colours and it's so versatile! All the colours are very pigmented and very pretty! The only problem is it costs £37 eek!

Next we have both been loving Baby Lips by Maybelline, they are just so moisturising and they smell delightful! They are also a great bargain and very travel friendly!

Now I have been enjoying the Reason Colourburst Matte Balm Lip Crayon in 205 Elusive! It's a really love pinky nude colour and is just really natural but also gives a pop of colour! It isn't too pricey but I wouldn't recommend it if you were on a very tight budget!

Next up...

Skincare!

So there are two favourite skin care ranges that we have been loving!

We both love Zoe Sugg's (Zoella) beauty range! It has so many lovely and cute products that we just want all of them! She also has makeup bags and the latest one she brought out is polka dot patterned and says 'Just say yes!' which is a really nice quote!

Our second skincare favourite is the Simple Skincare Range! The products are all really affordable and are great for your skin! They are very natural and feel fantastic!

Lastly are some random favourites!

So we have been listening to some songs non stop on repeat!

I'm sure you have all heard...
Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars.
Blank Space by Taylor Swift
Fireball by Pitbull

These songs have all gotten our toes tapping!

Personally this month I have been using notebooks non stop for school work and organising myself (which was one of my resolutions!) and I have been loving Paperchase's notebooks!

I have been loving the film Warm Bodies, which is a zombie romance film! It's really good and well written! If you want a film review on it please tell us!

Tips for a successful pamper night with your friends!

Hey Everyone!

Today it's giraffe and I'm going to give you some tips and ideas for a pamper night with your friends. Pamper nights are a really fun and relaxing activity to do and I highly recommend doing them every so often :)

Things to do on pamper nights:

1, Do a skin care regime: it's so much fun applying face masks to each other and you can also cleanse and tone your face for silky skin in the morning!
2. Listen to some of your favourite music on a really high volume! It's fun to just have a mini party whilst doing your pamper night!!
3. Put onesies on: why not be pampered in comfort... and anyway who doesn't love onesies?!?!?!?
4. Light some scented candles to feel even more relaxed.
5. Bake some delicious cakes or cookies to nibble on.
6. Search for some hairstyle ideas (like braids/plaits or up-do's) to try on each other!
7. If you're on your own have a bath with some Lush products (eg: bath bombs) and read a book or play on your favourite apps- making sure not to drop your book or device in the water!!

I hope you enjoyed this post- sorry it was just a quick one!! Make sure to send us your ideas or comments about this post on all of our social media...

Would You Rather Beauty Tag!

Hey Guys!

So it is only Mouse today! And I was looking for a fun tag to do and this one popped up! I hope you enjoy!

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or nice hair and no make-up?
Nice hair and no make-up, I mean messy hair would just look disgusting...

2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
Shave my eyebrows, I could fill them in easily rather than having to put false lashes on everyday!

3 Would you rather be forced to shop at MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
MAC! I love MAC!

4. Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Erm... I guess lipgloss/lipliner look...

5. Would you rather leave your house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Foundation line because you could over it with your hair...

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
Biker shorts I think.

7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Weird tan lines, if you had a bad orange-y spray tan you would stand out sooooo much! I think that the tan lines would be a bit more subtle.

8. Would you rather have a bad hair cut or a bad hair colour?
Bad hair colour because you could dye it back to the original colour or stick a hat on it!

9. Would you rather have YouTube or Twitter taken away forever? (I know this isn't really beauty related but this was one of the questions!)
Twitter because I am ADDICTED to YouTube!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
Makeup brushes because you can apply makeup with other things e.g makeup sponge

So I hope you all enjoyed this post! If you feel like answering any of our questions feel free to tweet us or DM us on Instagram! We would love to hear your feedback!

School Organisation!

Hey!

It's just Giraffe today because both of us were unable to meet up to write this post, but anyway, today I wanted to talk to you about school organisation. We can all admit that we have all lost a textbook, or forgot to do your homework and have done it in the morning that it's due or forgot to take something in.

This kind of links to our last post about New Year's Resolutions but this year why don't we make a goal to be a bit more organised for school. Here are a few tips to get you started!!

1. Pack your bag the night before. We all procrastinate and do it in the morning but it will only take about 5 mins so just quickly do it in the evening or even when you get home from school.

2. A lot of people really don't like doing homework but it must be done. So that you have more time to hang out with your friends or have a bit of time to yourself, do your homework as soon as you get in from school to get it out of the way. This takes a bit of mental motivation because we all try to put it off but just think if you get it done now, you won't have to do it later. Even better, do it in the school library at lunch because then you will have even more time to chill out!

3. If you have a habit of losing your school books (like me!), clear out a drawer or small area in your bedroom and keep all of your books in there. Try to leave books that you don't need at home, at school (if you can) in a locker etc.

4. Finally, if your locker is a bit of a pig sty- filled with loads of random pieces of paper etc- just take some time to sort it out and give everything its own place. It may not be fun but it will only take a couple of minutes.

I hope that this post has helped you and that you have enjoyed it.
